West Indies delivered a crushing defeat to Uganda in the last game and shall feel confident. Playing at home, the odds are up for the team, and they will look to leverage their familiarity with the conditions. It is a must-win game for New Zealand after their shocking loss against Afghanistan. The side must regroup and put up a good show to win. Both teams have quality players, and we expect it to be a thrilling contest.  

West Indies Preview     

With two consecutive wins, Rovman Powell's side looks comfortable in Group C. They have improved their ranking on cricket betting sites after their 134-run win over Uganda, where the batsmen and bowlers executed their plans flawlessly. The side will be up for a tougher challenge against a more formidable side, and Powell would like a clinical show from his players as they look to seal a berth in the Super 8s.

Akeal Hosein will be confident after his 5-wicket haul in the last game and shall look to deliver early breakthroughs with Romario Shepherd. Gudakesh Motie will look to trouble the batsmen with his variety in the middle overs along with Alzarri Joseph. Andre Russell, Powell, and Roston Chase add depth to the attack.

New Zealand Preview      

It wasn't the start Kane Williamson's side would have hoped for. From starting as favorites on cricket betting apps to going down by 84 runs against Afghanistan, their performance in the first game raised several question marks. The batting lineup failed, and the bowlers didn't capitalize on the opportunities. Williamson would like his men to put the loss behind their backs and perform better.

Williamson will look to play the anchor's role at No. 3 and add runs with Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips in the middle order. On the bowling front, the side needs a good burst with the new ball from Trent Boult and Matt Henry. Mitchell Santner would like to bowl on this track, and he must apply brakes to the scoring rate in the middle overs with Bracewell. In the supporting roles, the side also needs good performances from Ish Sodhi and Daryl Mitchell.

PITCH AND WEATHER CONDITIONS      

We expect overcast skies over Trinidad. There will be pace and bounce on this surface in the early overs, and spinners will also do well as the ball gets old. Batsmen will need to mix caution with aggression to do well. A score above 165 runs will be a fighting total for the side batting first.  

OUR PREDICTION      

New Zealand comes into this game with a massive loss. Their batting looked rusty in the last game, which will be a massive concern for the team. The top order must deliver a strong performance against a strong opposition. West Indies have firepower in their batting lineup, and a bowling attack is suited for these conditions. We expect a close game, but West Indies will be the favorite based on our cricket betting tips.
