Lewis Gregory would be upset to have shared the points with Birmingham Phoenix in the last game. They looked good in their first game against the Southern Brave and would like to continue with the same momentum. The side has a good record at this venue and shall look to take full advantage of the conditions and move up on the points table.  

Openers Dawid Malan and Alex Hales have been one of the best opening pairs in this competition, and they will look to do well here. Tom Kohler-Cadmore has an important role with Colin Munro and Sam Hain in the middle order. Gregory, Imad Wasim, and Daniel Sams are good hitters, making this a formidable batting line-up.  

The bowling attack would face a tough test in this game, and they will need early breakthroughs from Sam Cook and Luke Wood. Gregory and Imad Wasim bring in vast experience and will need to check the scoring rate. The side will also need a good show from Daniel Sams and Matthew in the supporting role.

Northern Superchargers Preview      

It was a tremendous performance from Wayne Parnell's side in their last game against the Southern Brave. They made 201 runs, batting first, the second-highest total in the competition's history, winning by 60 runs. They would look to continue with the same momentum and improve their position on the points table, winning this game.  

The side will look for a good start from Tom Banton and Matthew Short. The pair looked good and put up a 97-run opening-wicket stand in the last game. Harry Brook played an electrifying knock and will look to add runs in the middle order with David Weise and Adam Hose. They have depth in the batting and shall look for runs from Saif Zaib, Brydon Carse, and Parnell. 

The bowling attack faces a tough opponent and needs good spells from Callum Parkinson and Reece Topley with the new ball. The pair did well in the last game. Parnell, Matthew Short, and Adil Rashid have a lot of experience and must bowl good lines. Brydon Carse and Weise add depth to this attack making it strong.

TOSS: To Bowl First      

In recent matches here, we have seen the side batting first struggle as there was some movement with the new ball. The wicket gets better in the second half and is easier to bat. Hence the side that wins the toss here shall have little hesitation in opting to bowl first on winning the toss.

The skies over Nottingham would be partly cloudy on August 9, making the conditions challenging for the batsmen. There is pace and bounce on this surface, and batsmen have struggled with the scoring rate. The side batting first would aim to reach a score of 150 runs which would be good in these conditions.

The Northern Superchargers come here with a massive win and will feel confident. However, they face a tougher opponent in this game, which matches up to them in every department. The Trent Rockets have a strong batting line-up and have enjoyed an excellent record at their home. Though we expect a close game, the Rockets have a slight edge according to cricket betting sites with the crowd behind them.
