For the Delhi Capitals, this game will be about restoring their pride and giving their fans something to cheer about. Since the stakes are high for Punjab Kings, we expect this game to go down the wire.

Shikhar Dhawan's side came up with a much-needed win in the last game. It was a one-man show from  Prabhsimran Singh that helped the side to win. Dhawan would be aware of the weaknesses in his batting line and like to lead from the front. The points table has heated up, and they can't afford to lose. The Punjab Kings' skipper would look for a big win to improve the net run rate.  

Prabhsimran Singh's hundred in the last game would add to his confidence. He and Shikhar Dhawan have made 700 runs already and shall look to provide a steady start. The middle order has looked rusty at times, and they need runs from Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma, and Sikandar Raza. In the lower middle order, Sam Curran, Rishi Dhawan, and Shahrukh Khan will have important roles to play.  

The bowling attack will look to exploit the weaknesses in the Delhi Capitals' camp. Sam Curran must use his experience and bowl tight lines with Rishi Dhawan. Arshdeep Singh and Nathan Elis have been the most consistent bowler for the side and have an important role in this game. They will also need tight spells from Rahul Chahar and Sikandar Raza to trouble the opposition.

Delhi Capitals Preview     

David Warner and his side would like to get done with the season. It has been the worst show for the side in the last five seasons. They started with five losses and never recovered from there. Their poor batting form hurt them in the last game against Punjab Kings as they managed only 136 runs, losing the game by 31 runs. As they play the same team, Warner would like to avenge that loss and restore lost pride.  

David Warner has done well with the bat, but a lack of support at the top has been a big problem. Phillip Salt must put in the runs with Warner for the side to have a chance. The middle order has been the biggest problem for the side, and they will expect runs from Rilee Rossouw, Mitchell Marsh, and Manish Pandey in this game. Axar Patel has been a good finisher and will look to add runs with Aman Hakim Khan.   

There hasn't been a bowler on the bowling front who has shown consistency. The side will expect tight spells from Khaleel Ahmed and Ishant Sharma with the new ball. Axar Patel is the best bowler for the side, and he must do well in the middle overs along with Kuldeep Yadav. Mitchell Marsh, Praveen Dubey, and Mukesh Kumar need to do well in the supporting role to put pressure on the Punjab Kings.
