The Punjab Kings will look to put behind the upset of the last nine seasons where they have been bottom rankers in the points table. They have a strong batting lineup and expect a good show from their bowlers. The Delhi Capitals had a poor season last year, but the side has key players back on the side. They enjoy higher odds, and it will be interesting to see if the side can make a strong start with a win in this game.    

Punjab Kings Preview     

Shikhar Dhawan's side made a good start last season but failed to maintain the momentum. They finished eighth on the points table, missing the playoffs for the ninth consecutive season. They don't have a great record against with one win in the last three seasons. The side finished ninth on the points table last season, where they needed to deal with injuries to many of their key players. The return of these players will motivate the team to play aggressively. Pant would look for a good start and gain momentum for the season.  

David Warner and Prithvi Shaw form an explosive pair, and the side will expect a strong start. Mitchell Marsh did well last season and will look to add runs with Yash Dhull and Rilee Rossouw. Sarfaraz Khan and Axar Patel add depth to this lineup, and the team will expect a good finish from the pair.  

Khaleel Ahmed and Anrich Nortje will look to bring their experience to play in this game and trouble the Punjab Kings' top order with the new ball. Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel will aim to use the conditions to their advantage in the middle overs. Mitchell Marsh and Mukesh Kumar add variety to this attack.
